Del Mar Fairgrounds The Del Mar Fairgrounds offers year round events of all types. There is Thoroughbred horse racing in the summer where families and adults can come out and watch horse racing. On Fridays during the summer, there are also concerts following the races. Also during the summer, the annual Del Mar Fair takes place. This event invited animal lovers, music lovers, and everyone to come out and enjoy the fir. During the holidays there is also a Holiday of lights event even held beginning at thanksgiving time.
You can go from looking at judges assess horses and animals to watching a Cirque du Soleil show at the fairground. Here are so many things to do at the fair particularly for the spectator. Be sure to visit anytime during the year.

Freeflight Freeflight is an outdoor boarding house for birds, there are several types of great friendly birds who will spend some time with you if your patient. There is a pond and beautiful greenery to try and keep the birds enticed to this habitat. Some of the birds that live here are parrots, macaws, and cockatoos.
At only $1 per visit, this is a great and interactive way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
If you're unfamiliar with handling birds, ask any of the helpful attendant to show you which birds are friendly and which ones that are not too neighbor friendly. Children are welcome with adult supervision.
