With its spectacular views of The Ocean over La Jolla’s pacific cove, it is no wonder locals and tourists alike love the breathtaking views at George’s. For a reasonable lunch, enjoy The Ocean terrace view which is open air style seating. For cocktails during happy hour or while waiting for your dinner reservations below, you can also visit their bar separated by the top and bottom floors. All three dining levels of the restaurant get the same spectacular views, which is the main draw to George’s. While dinner can be quite pricey, the sunset views and romantic atmosphere you get at George’s can’t be beat.

With only 12 tables, this intimate dining room at the top of the legendary La Valencia Hotel is perfect for a proposal. Your evening starts with a ride to the top of that famous pink tower in the hotel's vintage elevator (with modern operator). Once you've arrived, the staff treats you as if this is the most important night of your life -- no matter what the occasion. Most of the tables in this exclusive perch are window seats, with a dazzling view of La Jolla Cove and the Pacific Ocean.

The menu has a changing selection of updated continental fare -- on this most important night, you'll dine perhaps on a sauteed Dover sole, or a buttery filet of Angus beef with a sweet potato terrine, or a luscious lobster luxuriating in tarragon cream.

You can even get caviar – at a mere $95 per serving.

On warm evenings, the door to the Sky Room's tiny balcony is left open to the sound of the sea. Step outside if you can -- moonlight on the water can make magic.
