BEACHES
Beaches are open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Fletcher Cove
Fletcher Cove, located at Solana Beach Plaza has a wonderful little cobblestone beach with a park that overlooks the ocean. The picturesque cove has lifeguard service but not much sand and can be inaccessible at high tide. Off the beach, there is volleyball, shuffleboard, basketball, showers, picnic tables, and free public parking. Fletcher Cove includes a free public parking lot, restrooms, and a basketball court.
Tide Beach Park
Tide Beach Park is a good place to explore tide pools and is known for its snorkeling. It can be reached via stairs at Pacific Avenue and Solana Vista Drive. It has lifeguards and free parking is available on the streets.
Seascape Shores
Seascape Shores is just south of Fletcher Cove, which also offers beach access. It is located a few blocks south of Fletcher's between condominiums at the 500 and 700 blocks of South Sierra Avenue.
BEACH RULES
Dogs - Dogs are NEVER allowed on the beach. Leashed dogs are allowed at the Community Center and Fletcher Cove parking lot and viewpoint only between sunrise to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to sunset.
Alcoholic Beverages - 8 a.m. to 10 p.m, and only in cans or plastic containers. Alcohol is prohibited in the parking lot, community center, viewpoint or any other public place adjacent to the beach. Glass is prohibited.
Fires - Fires are allowed from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and are limited only to fire rings, barbecues, hibachis, or other containers specifically constructed for this purpose. No fires permitted on the sand, in a pit, etc. Pallets are NOT allowed for firewood. You must fully extinguish your fire with water when you are through.
No Smoking on the Beach - The City of Solana Beach does not allow smoking on any of its beaches.
